Customer Reviews

"This was our first time at Fat Boys. We were passing through Sylvester and was hungry. We read it had really good reviews. We see now why. It was one of the best BBQ places I've even been to. We had the pork sandwich and man was it good. The portions were too much too eat at one sitting (but I did anyway) and everything, including the sides was delicious. The sweet tea oh so good and the service was prompt and very friendly. It was crowded and everyone seemed to know each other and was having a good time. Don't hesitate, just go - you won't regret it!"

"This is my first time at Fat Boy's BBQ, but I've had a lot of people recommend it to me. I can see why. This comfy, salt of the earth, no frills, generous portion, expertly prepared dining experience not only filled our bellies but filled our hearts. An elderly man was having his birthday meal next to us and his waitress not only knew it was his birthday, but sat down to visit with him to make sure he was having a good day. She also walked him out to the car and came back in with tears in her eyes for how much she cared for that gentleman. This is a place filled with food made with love cooked and served by a staff that actually care about the people who patronize their establishment. I wholeheartedly recommend the next time you're in the Sylvester, GA area to give it try."

"First time eating at Fat Boys today. Just traveling through and needed a good place for lunch. It was outstanding. I had ribs, baked beans and loaded baked potato. The ribs were fall off the bone tender and needed no sauce. The loaded baked potato was almost like a whole twice baked potato. There actual pieces of bacon in it. My buddy had 2 whole catfish, Cole slaw and loaded baked potato. The catfish were perfectly done and rather large fish. Unless you are starving, don't get the 3 fish plate. That could feed 2 people. Our waitress was perfect. Didn't constantly bug us but refilled our drinks as we needed them. The whole staff was just plain great. If I am evar back in the area for lunch, I will return to Fat Boys. Highly recommend this place."

"I ordered the lunch pork plate $9.99. Food was very good overall. The chopped pork, slaw, and even the toast were above average. The green beans not so much - would not order them again. It was nice to have real table service - not order at a window and then sat down like you get in most BBQ places. Service was a little slower than expected but the server was great once she got to me. The slaw was some of the best I have ever had at a BBQ place. I would definitely go back again."

"I often eat there in and out,the food is excellent, the people are friendly,l had a bad experience with someone young at the counter, who tried to keep my change after l order out,and came and got it,if you are charging my card, you will not keep my change, which by the way was five dollars, not going to happen,l am glad l haven't seen her since,l still go and still whine and dine there, and the service is still great like their food,so doodles to fat boy's, keep serving good food."

"Wow, if you are ever in Sylvester GA in need of some down-home Southern cooking, you must stop at Fat Boy's! We stopped by on our way to Atlanta and it was super good. The service was outstanding and the food, had a large variety of options. All cooked to our satisfaction. My wife had smoked chicken and I had the smoked brisket/chicken combo platter with green beans (garlic taste) and get this y'all...cream style corn. You must be in South GA! Will definitely go back on our way home. Prices are very reasonable and the service is perfect."
